Catering for 50, 100 or 200 Guests in Cornwall | What You Need to Know
Catering for 50, 100 or 200 Guests — What Works at Each Scale
The catering that works for 30 people doesn’t necessarily work for 150. The logistics change, the food choices shift, and the way you serve it matters more the bigger you go. Here’s how we approach it at Salt Wind Catering.
Up to 50 Guests
Delivered buffets are perfect at this size. Our sandwich platters, savoury platters, and hot buffet platters arrive ready to set out. No staff needed, no equipment, no fuss. Add a grazing platter as a centrepiece and sweet platters for dessert and you’ve got a complete spread for a birthday party, wake, or village hall event.
50 to 100 Guests
This is where on-site catering starts to make sense. Our hog roast minimum is 50 guests, and it’s the sweet spot for our BBQ catering too. We arrive, set up, cook, serve, and pack down. You don’t need a kitchen, power, or running water. Works for garden parties, weddings, and corporate events.
100 to 200+ Guests
At this scale, you need a team that knows what they’re doing. Our giant pan catering handles 100+ portions from a single cook. Combine it with a hog roast and you can comfortably feed 200 guests with two cooking stations running simultaneously. For festivals and outdoor events, we’ve catered crowds well beyond 200.
