Salt Wind Catering runs whole-pig hog roasts across all of Devon. Locally sourced pork slow-roasted for hours over charcoal, finished with proper crackling, served in fresh rolls with apple sauce, sage-and-onion stuffing and seasonal sides.

Our cook team arrives hours before service, sets up, cooks, carves and packs down at the end. All you need is an outdoor 3m × 3m pitch with access for our van. No venue kitchen required — we are fully self-contained.

Yes. Salt Wind Catering brings the hog roast and our full cook team across all of Devon — Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Barnstaple, Newton Abbot, Tiverton, Honiton and beyond. A travel supplement applies for Devon bookings and is confirmed in your written quote before you commit.
Our minimum is 60 guests for a traditional whole-pig roast. For smaller groups we can do a spit-roast leg or shoulder instead, or a charcoal BBQ — ask and we will suggest the right option.
Everything. The hog roast oven, charcoal, the pig, gazebo, serving kit, carving boards and the cook team. All we need from you is a roughly 3m × 3m outdoor area with access for our van. No venue kitchen needed.
We prefer 7–14 days so we can source the right pig from our butcher. For peak summer weekends book 4–6 weeks ahead to be safe. Short-notice bookings are sometimes possible — give us a call.
Whole slow-roasted pork, fresh rolls from Prima Bakeries, homemade apple sauce, sage-and-onion stuffing, crackling, seasonal salads and sauces. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives available on request. From £14.50pp.
